Training MOOC and GCE best practice criteria

Within the framework of the project "Investigating in the territory to identify and recognize GCE experiences," funded by the Xunta de Galicia's General Direction of External Relations and with the European Union, we have developed a series of training materials and resources with which we hope to strengthen school-based GCE work.

Educación para el desarrollo y ciudadanía global

This publication gathers experiences that allow the reader to identify methodologies, themes, approaches and instruments, helping to make visible the ups and downs, the successes and difficulties that we face when working on DE.

We hope it may serve as a useful tool for professionals working in DE, especially for teachers.

Development and global citizenship conference

In 2019 we celebrate 7 editions of the Conference on Education for Development and Global Citizenship.

These conferences, organised by the ONGD Solidaridad Internacional de Galicia and the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UdC, bring together every year specialists and professionals to discuss the main challenges of the present time and the educational strategies to advance, from a glocal perspective, to a fairer one.

The NGDO Galician International Solidarity and the ECIGAL Research Group of the Faculty of Education, University of A Coruña, have developed this tool to get to know each other, as a starting point for weaving a network of educational institutions and social entities working in GCE and establishing lines of collaboration and shared learning.

Click against unwanted loneliness

In this project we collaborate with the Esplai Foundation to tackle one of the most important problems of our time: the unwanted loneliness of the elderly.

Through a process of Research-Action-Participation we investigate how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) might serve as a a tool for the prevention of unwanted loneliness.

To this end, we have designed a participatory process where the elderly are at the centre. Not only will we take into account their demands, but representatives of the affected demographic will participate in decision making and the design of actions that allow us to put technological tools at the service of their well-being.

Sociocultural development plan in Monterroso prison

In a social context as unique as a prison, we rely on sociocultural development as a work strategy that allows to increase the possibilities of education, with respect to the rights of the person.

Knowing the difficulties imposed by this context, the experience in Monterroso prison is an eloquent example of the potential of this methodology for increasing the possibility of education and participation in prison and for opening the center to the outside world.
