We participated in the 5th Congress on Education for Social Transformation

From 18 to 20 November we took part in the Fifth Congress on Education for Social Transformation, “Educating in Liberating Uncertainty”. The congress was conceived as a space for articulating ideas and for the struggle against hegemony in all spheres of socialisation, including the cultural and educational.
There we came together, transformative people, movements and organisations, sharing our experiences and, above all, our reflections. For us, it was a space to meet people, discover interesting projects, raise awareness of Emapic and forge connections. A space in which, as was HEGOA’s intention with this congress, we could mutually strengthen each other so that Education for Social Transformation is a living strategy, to feel that we are walking towards the transition we want and that we are doing so in a collective, empowering and emancipatory way.
Vitoria-Gasteiz welcomed us in the best possible way; we enjoyed the beautiful city, its pintxos, the conversations, and the stories of a citizenry committed to defending change and rights.
An experience to be repeated. They can count on us for the 6th edition of the Congress!
