Body mapping. Two hate speeches to a shared lover

On Saturday 17 June we were in Camp for peace and the right to asylum presenting the exhibition “Bodily Cartography: From Leisure Discourses to Shared Leisure”. More than 30 people joined us for the presentation.

Carlota, Stephanie and Henar shared the results of the body mapping on hate speech, which they carried out with Professor Laura Cruz and with the collaboration of 14 organisations from the Acampa Network.

These cartographies address the dimensions of human integrity that we have learned with the Kaqla Maya Women, examining how hate speech impacts our mind, emotions, spirituality and body and, very especially, on the most vulnerable people.

But our bodies are also spaces for action and resistance, and the students also bring us the spaces of coexistence they have created through leisure activities with María Barba in the Leisure Time module, with a propositive social education perspective.

❤️ Many thanks to the people who took part in the cartographies and leisure experiences, to the collaborating organisations, to Roi for the commendable graphic design, and to the Oficina de Cooperación e Voluntariado for supporting the initiative.
